Chamber and Retailer’s Association offering Small Act-Big Impact program

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce and South Dakota Retailer’s Association have created the Small Act-Big Impact initiative in the Hub City.

The purpose is to support community businesses especially during the current climate. Gail Ochs, Chamber President, talked about the initiative.

She said there are numerous ways to make an impact. A list of ideas can be found at aberdeen-chamber.com under the Covid 19 Resources icon.

People are asked to choose an idea, take a photo of doing it, and then post it to Facebook or Instagram with the hashtags #LiveLocal57401, #VisitAberdeenSD and #SupportSoDak. You can tag a business as well if you like. People can also comment on original posts under Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce. Posts will be chosen at random to receive gift cards, water bottles and retailer’s association items.

Ochs said not all of the ideas involve spending money. It’s more about supporting and encouraging local businesses.
