The Salvation Army provides free lunches to children Monday through Friday at various parks throughout the summer. Locations include 16th Street Park (11:30-11:45 a.m.), Frontier Park (11:50 a.m.), Aldrich Park (Noon), Manor Park (12:15 p.m.), Holgate Middle School (12:20-12:35 p.m.), Melgaard Park (12:45-1 p.m.), and Central Park-Yapatorium (1:15-1:30 p.m.).

Anderson applauded the efforts of the Salvation Army.

The current effort is to help provide healthier foods for the children to eat. Individuals can look for Feed the Kids labels at Ken’s, purchase the items and then drop them in a cart designated for the program.
