Hotshots Stumble Late Against Sabre Dogs

The Hotshots lost the rubber game of their 3-game set w/ the Sabre Dogs last night, blowing a 2-run lead in the 9th inning of an 11-6 loss.  Souris Valley scored 2x in the 1st before the Hub City came back and took the lead in the B7, 6-4.  A 7-spot in the final frame turned things around, as SV sent 12 batters to the box.  The HC was doubled up in hits, 14-7.  Austin Crain (PC) was in line for the win, allowing 4R on 7H w/ 8K & 4BB in 7.2inn.  Outfielder Austin Allen came on in relief, pitching for the 3rd time this season.  He got one out in the 8th without issue, but coughed up 7R on 7H in the T9… his 1st allowed runs of the year.  Colton Cox (SDSU) led the Hotshots on offense, going 2/5 w/ a double, 2R & 2RBI; Luke Glascoe was 1/4 w/ 2R scored, a double, and a walk; and Spencer Gillund hit a solo shot.  Caden Kaelber [kal-BAIR] threw two perfect innings for SV to pick up the win.  Josh Paino & Sam Powers each went deep for the Sabre Dogs, while Mason Dinesen [DIN-uh-sin] finished 3/5 w/ 3R, 3RBI, and 2-2B.
