Johnson says USMCA trade deal would be huge win for U.S.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – A vote on the proposed USMCA trade deal has not yet been scheduled in Congress. If approved, it would replace NAFTA, which has been in effect since 1994.

South Dakota Congressman Dusty Johnson says the agreement needs to be approved.

Johnson says the agreement could also set the stage for other trade deals.

Johnson says it would be a better deal than NAFTA.

Backers are pushing for a vote before the August recess.
