WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – The latest round of federal disaster declarations for 11 counties in South Dakota include individual assistance.

Phil Wernisch with the Federal Emergency Management Agency says some people may have had multiple losses this year.

Wernisch say people should register even if they are unsure they have covered damages.

A disaster recovery center is now open in Yankton.

Wernisch says people have some time to register.

Wernisch says in some cases they can release funding to individuals fairly quickly.
