Menno School District receives $225,000 workforce development grant

MENNO, S.D. (WNAX) – The South Dakota Department of Labor has awarded over one million dollars to schools in workforce development grants.

The Menno School District will get $225,000 for a new Ag Learning Lab.

Superintendent Charlene Crosswait says they applied for the maximum grant.

Crosswait says they plan an extensive, hands on learning program.

Crosswait says it is a big boost for the school and community.

The school will use capitol outlay funds to match the state grant.

Menno has 67 students in its high school this year.
