National TV show to feature missing South Dakota girl

PIERRE, S.D. (DRG News) – Tomorrow’s (Jan. 22) episode of IN PURSUIT WITH JOHN WALSH on Investigation Discovery will feature a segment on a missing South Dakota girl.

Serenity Dennard ran away from the Black Hills Children’s Home near Rockerville nearly one year ago (Feb. 3, 2019). At the time, Serenity was 9 years old, 4 feet 7 inches tall and weighed 96 pounds.

Multiple searches have been conducted using ground and air crews, but no trace of the girl has been found. Authorities have feared the worst given the frigid weather in the area at the time Dennard disappeared, but it is possible she may have been picked up by someone and taken away.

Anyone with information on Dennard’s whereabouts can contact the television show’s call center at 1-833-3-PURSUE or submit information online at InPursuitTips.com. These resources are both staffed by trained operators who will accept anonymous tips and alert the proper authorities.

Each week, John Walsh is joined by his son, Callahan Walsh, who leads the operation on the ground. Callahan works in tandem with the community and local authorities to search for persons-of-interest. In partnership with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, the series will also feature two missing children each hour, providing age-progression photos and descriptions in the hopes viewers can provide new leads to their whereabouts.
