PC offering intensive health occupation exploration program

ABERDEEN, S.D. (Press Release) – Presentation College is offering a two and half day intensive health occupation exploration program June 17-19. Check-in is 8 a.m. Monday, June 17 and check-out is noon Wednesday, June 19. Cost is $100 per student (the registration fee is non-refundable after May 31).

All interested students must complete program application for acceptance. Applications are due Wednesday, May 15, and will be reviewed on a first come, first serve basis.

The program is open to all sophomore – senior students interested in pursuing a health career. Limited to first 30 applicants.

The intensive health occupation exploration program assists high school students prepare for their future in health professions. The program provides students the opportunity to have an immersive experience in a variety of health professions, tour healthcare facilities, and participate in interdisciplinary simulation in the school’s state-of-the-art Avera Simulation Center. Students will experience life as a college student, participating in college-level health scenarios taught by Presentation College faculty, interacting with faculty, staff, and students, and spending the night in the Presentation College Suites. Students participating may choose to earn college credit for PC’s Intro to Health Occupations course (1 credit).
