PC Soccer Squads Shut-out in GPAC Home Openers

The Saints’ women’s soccer squad lost its 1st home GPAC game of the season yesterday, 2-0, to the Defenders of Dordt College.  After a scoreless 1st half, the Iowa squad found the back of the net in the 72nd & 75th minutes to record the win.  Dordt had nine shots-on-goal, while Presentation finished w/ four – two from Tyler Bybee.  PC is now 0-2 in conference play after a loss to Mount Marty to start GPAC action last week.

The PC men also lost their 1st home GPAC game of the year Wednesday, dropping a 1-0 decision.  After a scoreless half of play, Dordt’s Patrick Munsey nabbed the lone tally in the match in minute #82, scoring on a penalty kick.  Kieren Clarke had a PK opportunity in the opening stanza, but hit the crossbar.  The Defenders totaled ten shots-on-goal to five for the Saints.  Jack Murray made six saves, while his PC teammates made three.  Eduardo Melo finished w/ a team-best two SOG.
