WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – Former South Dakota Senator Larry Pressler says he has been diagnosed with cancer.

Pressler says he is feeling better everyday.

Pressler lives in Washington and says he might return to the classroom and teach at nearby George Washington University or Georgetown.

Pressler served 18 years in the Senate and was one of the first Vietnam Veterans elected to the Senate.
