Thune talks about disaster aid being held up in Congress

NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. (WNAX) – South Dakota Senator John Thune made stops at businesses in North Sioux City and talked about disaster aid being held up in Congress. He says there is some irony there with a number of Senators running for President being in Iowa.

Thune says the disaster bill should be at the top of the agenda when they return to Washington next week.

Thune says a number of federal agencies are in the field and will need more funding.

The disaster funding bill is hung up in the Senate over aid for Puerto Rico and the Midwest.
