All-Conference Honors for NSAA Volleyball

MADISON, SD ( – The 2022 North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) announced its All-Conference women’s volleyball teams and postseason awards Thursday evening.  Awards were given out during the honors presentation at the Ramkota Inn & Convention Center on the eve of the North Star Volleyball conference postseason tournament at Civic Arena.

Viterbo (Wis.) and Bellevue (Neb.) shared the 2022 NSAA Women’s Volleyball regular-season conference outright, finishing with a record of 13-1 each in conference contests this season. 

The six-team postseason tournament kicks off Friday morning with No. 6 seed Presentation (S.D.) taking on No. 3 seed Dakota State (S.D.) at 10 a.m. (Central Time), followed by No. 5 seed Valley City State (N.D.) versus No. 4 seed Mayville State (N.D.) at 12 p.m.  No. 1 seed Viterbo and No. 2 seed Bellevue received the first-round bye and will play in the evening session on Friday.

Olivia Galas of Bellevue was chosen as the NSAA Women’s Volleyball Player-of-the-Year.  She was also named to the league’s Setter-of-the-Year for the fifth straight year. 

Adrianna Reinhart of Viterbo and Natalie Hadrava of Mayville State were voted as the NSAA Women’s Volleyball Libero-of-the-Year.  It was the second straight year that Reinhart received the award.

Jada Mitchell of VU was named as the league’s Offensive Player-of-the-Year and Freshman-of-the-Year.  Ryan DeLong of Viterbo’s was selected as the North Star Athletic Association’s Women’s Volleyball Coach-of-the-Year for the second straight year.  Michelle Meiklejohn of Mayville State (N.D.) was named as the NSAA Women’s Volleyball Assistant Coach-of-the-Year.

A total of 14 players are listed on the 2022 NSAA Women’s Volleyball All-Conference First-Team.  Eight players are named on the Second-Team All-Conference distinction.  A total of 13 athletes returned as All-Conference from last season.

Viterbo and Bellevue each landed five selections – each school with four athletes on First Team – on the NSAA Volleyball All-Conference.  Dakota State has four recipients on the All-Conference teams, while Mayville State has three athletes on the All-Conference teams.

The North Star Athletic Association Champions of Character recipients were also honored at the awards presentation.

The NSAA All-Conference teams and postseason awards were selected by the league coaches.
