Millard (NE) 12-2

Moville (IA)

Millard scored in five of the seven innings and got help from four Iowan errors in a 12-2 win. Moville was out-hit by the Nebraskans 11-5. Brayden Smith had an epic day for Millard, going 4/4 w/ 3R, 3RBI, a double, and a home run. Braden Sweet scored four of NE’s 12 runs.


Mankato (MN)

Creighton [Omaha] (NE) 6-5

Mankato’s comeback attempt fell just short as Omaha held on for a 6-5 win in the 2nd game of the day. Mankato got 3R in the T3 to take the lead, but Omaha replied w/ 4R in their half of the frame. The Nebraska squad added another 2R in the B4 to go up 6-3. In the T7, Mankato scored a couple of runs, but they stranded the tying run at 2nd base to end the game. Mankato out-hit Creighton 7-5, but Mankato also held a 5-0 “disadvantage” in errors. Parker Mooney was 3/3 w/ a run & a ribbie in the win, while Louis Magers went 2/3 w/ 2R, 2RBI, and a pair of doubles in the loss. Magers also took the loss on the mound, going 6inn and allowing just 2ER on 5H w/ 2K & 1BB.


West Fargo (ND) 10-8

SF East

SFE led 5-0 through 3inn, but WF fought back w/ a 6-run 4th frame to go up by one. East loaded the bags in the B4, but they left ‘em full on a called 3rd strike. The ND squad then added three in the 6th and one in the 7th before holding on for a 10-8 win. Evan Berg poked a 3R-HR and went 2/3 w/ 2R & 5RBI for West Fargo & his teammate Trey Stocker hit a solo shot. SFE was led by Jack Smith who went 2/5 w/ 2R, an RBI, and a double. Smith didn’t fare as well on the mound, shouldering the loss after allowing 5R (4ER) on 5H & 2BB in just 1inn of work.


St. Michael (MN) 11-1 [6inn]

RC Post 22

The Hardhats’ offense was held in check by St. Michael as Post 22 managed just 3H in an 11-1 run-rule loss. St. Michael piled up 12H, and each team committed four errors in the contest. Max Sutter tossed the full 6inn, giving up an unearned run on 3H w/ 4K & 1BB. Kaden Amundson was 2/3 w/ 2R & 4RBI while going yard and doubling, and Trey Sybrant also hit one out & doubled while going 2/4 w/ a run & 3RBI.
