Doreen Ann Bahl was born on October 13, 1945, to August and Cathrine Bahl in Minot, ND. She grew up near Sherwood, ND, attending school in the area. Doreen was active in 4-H in her younger years. She graduated from Mohall High School in 1963. She lived in a few locations before moving to Williston, ND, in 1966, where she met Clinton Erhart. They were united in marriage on August 26, 1967, near Sherwood. They made their home in Aberdeen and had one son, Corey.

Doreen was a professional bookkeeper and managed the Hub-Co Federal Credit Union for several years. Doreen was also an active mother and wife, spending several years as both an elementary room mother and Cub Scout den mother. She was an active member of the Daughters of the Nile for many years. She was an unofficial chapter mom for Dr. Edward Ashley DeMolay chapter, where she “adopted” many of the chapter members. She also “adopted” many members of the local Job’s Daughters and was known as Mom to many. She was active with the many activities the organizations had and was an excellent cook, often found in the kitchen at those events. Doreen served as office manager and a campground receptionist at Wylie Park. She received accolades for exceptional service and hospitality. She was also an avid reader, an excellent tailor, and enjoyed crocheting and doing cross stitch. Family always came first, whether it was genetic or adopted. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly.
