Former Presentation WBB HC Lands In Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, SD (usfcougars.com) – The University of Sioux Falls women’s basketball program is excited to announce the return of Carly Jeffery as their new associate head coach.

“We are so excited about bringing Carley back to USF” stated head coach Travis Traphagen. “She’s be gone for three year’s but we have stayed in close contact ever since and we can’t wait to get her back on the USF sidelines. Carley is a rising star in our profession and we’re glad to have her back!”

Jeffery returns to USF following a three-year stint at Presentation College in Aberdeen, S.D. She spent one season as the assistant coach followed by two seasons as the head coach of the Saints women’s basketball team.

Prior to Presentation, Jeffery spent the 2019-20 season as the assistant women’s basketball coach here at USF where the Cougars posted a 26-6 overall record while being crowned the 2020 NSIC South Division Champions. Sioux Falls earned the No. 3 seed in the NCAA DII regional tournament that season before their season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

From 2015-2019, Jeffery served as the assistant coach at St. Cloud State where she helped lead the huskies to a 60-50 overall mark.

Prior to her coaching career, Jeffery had a stellar four-year career at St. Cloud State where she helped lead the Huskies to a NSIC North Division Championship in 2013. She finished her career with 447 points with 106 assists in 97 games played. In the classroom, she was a three-time NSIC All-Academic team member while earning the prestigious Myles Brand award her senior year.

A Cambridge, Wisconsin native, Jeffery returns to USF along with her fiancé and will resume her roles starting June 1, 2023.
