Jackrabbits Claim First FCS Title with Pounding of Bison

  • The Jackrabbits won their 1st FCS Title while handing the Bison their 1st loss in the FCS Title game in ten trips in a 45-21 final. NDSU had won nine of the last eleven FCS Championships, but SDSU was able to dominate their rival and claim the crown in their 2nd trip to Frisco, TX. SDSU ran it 39x for 299y (7.7 ypc) & went 14/21 passing for 223y. NDSU finished w/ 260y passing & 160y on the ground, but they had three TO’s while the Jacks had none. The Bison were also 5/12 on 3rd down, while the Jacks were an impressive 9/14.
