Multiple Wolves Earn All-NSIC Results in Twin Cities

St. Paul, MN (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State University track and field teams sit in seventh (women) and eighth (men) following the first full day of the NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Jackson Harrison and Kenzee Danielson tallied All-Conference honors, while numerous Wolves qualified for day two. The women recorded 16.5 team points, while the men added 14.
MEN’S HIGHLIGHTS
  • Sean Juengst took fourth in the decathlon with 5,710 points, recording marks of 12.04 in the 100m, 5.73m in the long jump, 10.71m in the shot put, 1.85m in the high jump, 53.59 in the 400m, 17.78 in the 110m hurdles, 30.11m in the discus, 4.00m in the pole vault, 41.89m in the javelin, and 4:55.79 in the 1500m
  • Jackson Harrison recorded the first All-Conference performance, taking third in the 10,000m with a time of 31:42.73
  • Josh Martin qualified for the finals of the 1500m with a time of 3:57.64 in fourth
  • Joel Matehs will run in the finals of the 110m hurdles, notching a prelim time of 15.07
  • Seth Martens tallied a finals qualifying time of 48.65 in the 400m
  • Nick Olson added a sixth place finish in the hammer, tossing 50.79m
WOMEN’S HIGHLIGHTS
  • Megan Pickering ran to a sixth place finish in the 10,000m with a time of 38:35.47
  • Renea Taylor advances to the finals of the 100m with a time of 11.69 in third, and the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.60
  • Kenzee Danielson tallied the first women’s All-Conference accolades taking third in the pole vault with an outdoor personal best and provisional mark of 3.91m
  • Makenna Glanzer and Bethany Dybdahl followed in seventh and eighth with marks of 3.36m
  • Cassidy Gough threw to a fourth place finish in the hammer, tossing 51.17m

St. Paul, MN (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State University track and field teams wrapped up the NSIC Outdoor Championships on Saturday, recording four all-conference finishes and 21 podium placings. Northern took eighth overall, scoring 52 points on the men’s side and 38.5 on the women’s.
MEN’S HIGHLIGHTS
  • Seth Martens recorded a fifth place finish in the 400m with a time of 48.19
  • Josh Martin added a fifth place finish of his own in the 1500m, crossing the finish line in 3:52.71
  • After an all-conference performance in the 10,000m, Jackson Harrison took fifth in the 5000m with a time of 14:41.70
  • Joel Matehs placed fourth in the 110m hurdles with a time of 14.82
  • The 4x100m relay team of Noah Bayer, Matehs, Isaac Olson, and Martens ran to a third place finish with a time of 41.88
  • The 4x400m relay of Chase Domier, Matehs, Carter Moller, and Martens added a seventh place finish with a time of 3:23.40
  • Sam Tremelling recorded the first men’s all-conference performance of the day, finishing as the runner-up in the pole vault with a provisional mark of 4.85m
  • Noah Ford added a fourth place finish in the pole vault, clearing 4.55m
WOMEN’S HIGHLIGHTS
  • Renea Taylor tallied the women’s all-conference honor of day three, taking third in the 100m with a tie of 11.60
  • Taylor followed that up with a fifth place finish in the 400m hurdles, running to a time of 1:02.34
  • The 4x100m relay team of Vanessa Klein, Taylor, Laci Leverty, and Kyanna Collymore placed third in the event with a time of 47.30
  • Sierra Sweeney jumped a personal best of 11.47m in the triple jump, placing sixth overall
  • Cassidy Gough led the Wolves in the javelin, throwing 34.83m in sixth overall
BEYOND THE RESULTS
  • Tremelling’s provisional mark and personal best of 4.85m ranks 35th in the country in the event
