BURNSVILLE, MN (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference has released the 2022 Football Preseason Coaches’ Poll with Northern State University picked third in the North Division and seventh overall. The Wolves tallied 24 points in the North and 94 in the overall voting. Dakota Larson and Nate Robinson were tabbed as the team’s players to watch for the season.

The Wolves went 7-4 in their first season at Dacotah Bank Stadium and first competition season under head coach Mike Schmidt. NSU posted a 3-3 record in the NSIC North Division with victories over Minot State, Concordia-St. Paul, and MSU Moorhead. The Wolves tallied their first win over Sioux Falls in the Division II era and first win over Winona since 1999 (breaking a 14 game losing streak).
