NSU Student-Athletes Continue to Excel in the Classroom

ABERDEEN, SD (NSUWolves.com) – Northern State University student-athletes closed out the fall 2022 semester with a 3.34 term GPA. The over 400 student-athletes recorded a GPA above a 3.0 for the 29th consecutive semester in the department. Addition, the Wolves recorded a cumulative grade point averaging of 3.37 and six teams recorded a mark above a 3.5.

“Our student-athletes understand the importance of their work in the classroom and have proven that with the GPA numbers for the fall semester,” noted Director of Athletics Nate Davis. “Recording 29 straight semesters above a 3.0 is an impressive feat for any department and I am proud to see our place a priority on academics to continue this tradition.”

The women’s cross country team led the way, posting a 3.83 GPA while in season, followed by swimming and soccer notching marks of 3.66 and 3.62. Baseball led the men’s programs with a 3.37 mark.
