PC Football Squad Names New Co-Defensive Coordinator

ABERDEEN, SD (PCSaints.com) –¬†Presentation College has hired Blake Mudd to be the Co-Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs coach of the Saints Football team. Mudd returns to PC after previously being with the program from 2017-2018.

Prior to his return to PC, Mudd taught and coached at Lawrence High School in Lawrence, KS. Serving as the programs Co-Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach from 2019-2021.

In his first stint at Presentation College Mudd served as the defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator for the Saints from 2017-2018. In 2016 Mudd served as a Defensive Assistant working with the Safeties at Northern Illinois University. Prior to his time at Northern Illinois University, Mudd served as an Intern and Offensive Graduate Assistant at Ottawa University (KS) coaching the Running backs and Tight Ends from 2014-2015. In 2014, Mudd helped the Braves win a KCAC Conference Championship.

Most importantly, he is a man of high character who fits perfectly with the college and football team’s mission” said Head Coach Steve Heimann.

Before getting into the college coaching ranks, Mudd held various positions at Veritas Christian School in Lawrence, KS including serving as the programs Head Varsity Football Coach and Offensive Coordinator in 2013.

Mudd earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sports Management with a Minor in Business from the University of Kansas. He also holds a master’s degree of Arts and Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Ottawa University (KS).

Mudd currently lives in Aberdeen.
