Region 6B Tourney in Redfield (day three)

Groton 23-6 [5inn]

Clark

Groton had a 4th 20+ run performance at the dish in the Region 6B Tourney to start their Thursday, knocking out Clark in a revenge match, 23-6. Groton held a 10-5 lead in hits, but they were aided by a rough nine errors in the field by Clark. Ryan Groeblinghoff threw the full 5inn for Groton, striking out six. Pierce Kettering led the squad w/ 4RBI.

 

CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND

Groton

Redfield 13-10

Redfield secured a spot at the State Tourney in Gregory w/ a 13-10 win over Groton to run through the bracket unbeaten. The host team held a 14-12 lead in hits, and got the win after trailing 4-0 early and 7-4 through 3.5inn. Keaton Rohlfs tossed 5.2inn for Redfield, and he had 4H at the dish while driving in three.

 

Region 1B Tourney in Webster (day two)

Big Stone City 16-6 [6inn]

Webster saw their season come to a close thanks to a rough 11 errors as BSC grabbed the run-rule win, 16-6.

WINNERS BRACKET

Milbank 10-0

Claremont

Milbank punched its ticket to the Region 1B Championship Round w/ a 10-0 shutout of Claremont. Post #9 out-hit their foe 15-3, and each team committed two errors. Merik Junker had a team-best four hits and was one of many Milbank players to drive in two runs (along w/ Isaac Schulte & Bryce Lamp). Kellen Hoeke went the distance on the bump, striking out four in the win.
