Regional Players Recognized by GPAC for VB Performances

Attacker – Ady Dwight, Dakota Wesleyan University (Middle)

Dakota Wesleyan University’s Ady Dwight is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker-of-the-Week. Dwight, a junior, from Langford, South Dakota, tallied 37 kills to lead the Tigers who went 1-1 on the week. She hit a combined, .316 last week and currently ranks first in kills per set, third in hitting percentage and 13th in blocks per sets in the NAIA.

 

Setter- Hope Leimbach, Midland University

Hope Leimbach of Midland is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. Leimbach, a senior from Lincoln, Nebraska, piled up 64 assists in No. 2 Midland’s five-set thriller over No. 10 Concordia. She orchestrated the Warriors’ to a .186 hitting percentage against a stout Bulldog defense. Additionally, she added four digs and three block assists, playing six rotations. This season, she is averaging 11.61 assists per set and ranks second in the NAIA.

 

Defender – Ellie Holen, University of Jamestown (Defensive Specialist)

Jamestown defensive specialist Ellie Holen is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Holen, a junior from LaMoure, North Dakota, had 47 digs as the Jimmies made quick work of a pair of conference foes, sweeping both Northwestern and Morningside. She also had three service aces on the week.
