KANSAS CITY, MO (PlayNorthStar.com) – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) honored Thursday nearly 1,100 student-athletes in announcing the 2022-23 Daktronics-NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes from 150 schools across the country.
Forty-one (41) athletes from the North Star Athletic Association institutions were named to Daktronics-NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes. Mayville State (N.D.) led the league with eight selections, while Bellevue (Neb.), Presentation (S.D.), and Viterbo (Wis.) each recorded seven honorees each.
In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
