Mayville, N.D. (MSUComets.com) – The Comet defense forced an interception with 1:51 left in the fourth quarter as the Comets pick up their 3rd straight win and their first winning streak since 2016 with a 28-17 victory over the Saints.

How It Happened:
On the first play for the Comets on offense, a 73-yard touchdown run from Javeion Davison gave MSU an early 7-0 lead.
Presentation College would answer with a field goal in the second quarter to make it 7-3. Mayville State on the ensuing possession would drive the ball 42 yards and score a touchdown on a Mason Ollman 1-yard touchdown run.
Presentation College would score two touchdowns in the last six minutes of the second quarter and would take a 17-14 lead heading into the intermission break.
After no score in the third quarter, MSU would score a touchdown with 13:39 left in the fourth quarter on a 40-yard touchdown pass from Salmon to Smith to take the lead 21-17.
Presentation College was driving the field in the fourth quarter, and the throw was picked off from Danzele Navy at the 10-yard line for the Comet offense to take over. Two plays later, Javeion Davison would score his second touchdown of the game on an 87-yard touchdown pass from Salmon.
Mayville State would finish the game with 103 rushing yards, 343 passing yards, 6.6 yards per play, and converted on 5-of-12 on third down conversions.
