Turnquist Earns CSC Accolade

ABERDEEN, SD (NSUWolves.com) – Northern State University 149-pounder Wyatt Turnquist landed on the CSC Academic All-District® team announced today. The 2023 Academic All-District® Men’s At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom.

Turnquist closed out the 2022-23 season with a 25-4 record overall, earning the first NCAA All-American honors of his career. He placed third and the NCAA National Championships and added NSIC All-Conference first team and NWCA Scholar All-America honors to his season accolades. The Winner, S.D. native holds a 3.7 GPA as a member of the Millicent Atkins School of Education.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 21 (men) and June 22 (women). The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.
About the Academic All-America® Program
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
