Wolves Compete in Augustana Twilight

Sioux Falls, S.D. (NSUWolves.com)– The Northern State University cross country teams opened the 2022 season this evening from the Augustana Twilight. The Wolves women kicked off the evening with a 12th place finish, while the men took 13th overall.

 

MEN’S HIGHLIGHTS

  • Northern tallied an average time of 21:07.91 in the 4-mile race
  • Jackson Harrison ran to a seventh place finish with a time of 19:30.45
  • Josh Martin was the next finisher for the Wolves, notching a time of 20:46.93 in 75thoverall
  • Jonathan Burkhalter crossed the finish line if 21:21.19, landing in the top half of competitors

WOMEN’S HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Wolves recorded an average time of 20:02.27 in the 5k
  • Megan Pickering was the top finisher for the women, taking 36thwith a time of 19:03.47
  • Mary Franssen landed in the top-50 with a time of 19:16.58 in 47thoverall
  • Victoria Kolbinger followed in 59th, crossing the finish line in 19:27.40
