Aberdeen, SD (NSUWolves.com) – The Northern State University Athletic Department concluded the 2023 spring semester with over 380 student-athletes recording a cumulative grade point average of 3.378. The mark is the highest cumulative GPA on record for the department.
In addition, the Wolves student-athletes notched a term GPA of 3.36, marking the 30th consecutive semester, 15thstraight academic year above a 3.0 for the department. The semester mark of 3.36 is the highest since the fall of 2018.
Northern State women’s cross country and softball led the way with marks of 3.684 and 3.680. Six programs recorded a semester mark above a 3.5. Wolves baseball led the way for the men’s program, recording a 3.410 semester GPA while in season.
Finally, 25 student-athletes across the department’s intercollegiate athletic programs tallied a 4.0 term GPA and 201 recorded a 3.5 or higher. In total, 11 of the department’s programs recorded a semester average above a 3.0 (listed below).
