Black Hills State holds first BHSU Day in Sturgis

STURGIS, S.D. (KBHB) – Black Hills State University held its first ever BHSU Day in Sturgis Tuesday.

BHSU Interim President Laurie Nichols, along with representatives from BHSU, made a visit to Sturgis Brown High School to discuss educational opportunities.

Nichols says the visit was beneficial for students and the school.

Nichols explains the concept of holding a BHSU Day.

Nichols says it’s important to get students in high school involved with a college education early.

Nichols visited with local businesses and community leaders during the afternoon before hosting a gathering at the Loud American Roadhouse in Sturgis.
