McBeth says that most of the 24 damaged rail cars will have to be scrapped.

And, although the weather has made it a little more challenging, McBeth says they anticipate the tracks will be reopened early Wednesday. In the meantime the clean and fix up continues with the grain and rail track at Milbank.

McBeth is thankful there were no injuries. Both BNSF employees and local contractors are helping. She stated the coal trains that feed into the Big Stone Power plant daily are continuing to move along the track and that full service should be restored later tonight or early Wednesday morning.
