Farm Bureau tracking three bills in legislature

PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – The South Dakota Farm Bureau is tracking three bills in the state legislature. Farm Bureau Lobbyist Mike Held says one is a feed hauling measure that calls for an adjustment of height in what may be hauled. He says that passed out of a House Committee and is due on the floor this week.

He says one of the bills recommended by the Ag Land Assessment Task Force would broaden the sources where the state would receive data on ag land assessment.

Held says the other measure recommended by the Ag Land Assessment Task Force calls for a written record of when a county assessor makes an adjustment to land values.

Held says Farm Bureau supports all three bills.
