Lewis & Clark Regional Water System to get increase of $3 million

YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – The federal Bureau of Reclamation says the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System will get $18 million in funding this year, an increase of $3 million over last year.

Executive Director Troy Larson says it was what they had anticipated.

Larson says the money will be used for three major projects.

Larson says there is a problem with next year’s budget.

Lewis & Clark is providing water to towns and cities in South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota from wells near the Missouri River south of Vermillion.
