Mayor Schaunaman says methods are working in battle against COVID-19

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The state announced its latest COVID-19 numbers this morning. South Dakota totals now include 46 positive cases, 1,973 negative cases, 16 recovered cases, and 125 pending cases.

Aberdeen Mayor Travis Schaunaman said he thought those numbers might be much worse and said it’s an indication that the methods right now are working. There have been just two cases in Brown County.

The mayor said that while there always a few that don’t heed the warnings, for the most part local residents and businesses have complied to the CDC standards when it comes to limited gatherings and social distancing.

Schaunaman also provided some facts about COVID-19.

The mayor pointed out four models of behavior when it comes to dealing with coronavirus.
