Thune shares thoughts on impeachment proceedings

WASHINGTON, D.C. (KBHB) – The opening statements in the impeachment trial against the President have concluded and now Senators will have a couple days to ask written questions to both the House managers – who are serving as prosecutors – and the White House legal team.

South Dakota Senator John Thune talked to reporters today about whether or not he believes new witnesses, like John Bolton, should be called after the Q and A portion is over.

Thune says he doesn’t want to hear from either Hunter or Joe Biden, either.

Thune says he’s not sure if there are enough votes to move to a witness testimony phase. He says that may be realized over the next two days of Q and A.
