Watertown soon to have a My Place Hotel

WATERTOWN, S.D.(KWAT) — The number of hotel rooms in Watertown’s inventory is about to grow.

Aberdeen-based My Place Hotels will open a three story, 46 room hotel near the intersection of Interstate 29 and Highway 212 by early September.

Every room will have a kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, two-burner cook top and a sink with a garbage disposal.

Ngoc (knock) Thach (thatch) is the Director of Public Relations for My Place Hotels. She says the Watertown hotel will offer nightly, weekly and monthly rates.

The My Place Hotel chain began franchising in 2014, with the opening of five properties in the Dakotas and Montana. And as is the case in Watertown, each new hotel is new construction, built from the ground up.

My Place Hotels just launched a national loyalty program for its guests in June.

Guests earn points for staying at My Place Hotels, and those points can be redeemed for Visa gift cards.

The Watertown My Place will be managed by Venerts Hotel Management.  It’ll be the sixth My Place Hotel in South Dakota. Others are located in Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Brookings, Aberdeen and Fort Pierre.
