YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) – Stacey Burnette is the new Executive Director of the South Dakota Democratic Party. She was formerly with the American Cancer Society and had previously worked for former Congresswoman Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin.

Burnette says it’s a way to continue serving the public interest.

Burnette says she approached Party Chair Paula Hawks.

Burnette says recruiting candidates is a priority.

Burnette is a native of Sioux Falls.
