Governor Rhoden looking to reset relationships with South Dakotans

PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- Larry Rhoden changed from being South Dakota’s lieutenant governor to being its governor about two months ago.

As he’s traveled the state since then, Rhoden said the tone and content of the conversations he’s had with people has changed.

One of the themes Rhoden and his team have focused on from the start is resetting relationships.

Rhoden said so far, the “reset” theme has been well received.

So far, Rhoden has vetoed two bills.  Legislators were unable to override his veto on HB1132(Child Care Assistance) during the regular session.  Legislators will try to override HB1169(Petition Signatures) when they return to Pierre Monday for the final day of this year’s legislative session.
