ABERDEEN, S.D.(Hub City Radio)- The Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce’s Chamber Connections Series continued Thursday at the K.O.Lee Public Library.

Feature speaker was Rebecca Ortmeier, Apprentice Coordinator for the South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation.  She will be talking about the Start Today SD Apprenticeship Program.

Ortmeier described what apprenticeships are.

Ortmeier talked about what the South Dakota Legislature did during this year’s session.

Ortmeier talked about roles that businesses can do involving apprenticships.  She starts by talking about how businesses can get involved.

Ortmeier moved on to discuss related instructions.

Ortmeier also address wages.

Their mission is to make apprenticeship more accessible for businesses.
