ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The 2026 South Dakota Legislative Session is set to begin on Tuesday, January 12th.

District 3 Senator Carl Perry previews what to look for.

Perry talks about some of the bills he’s looking to prime.  One is looking to address a vaping tax.

Another bill he’s looking to sponsor is a bill he’s calling the Josh bill.

Perry also address the possible for a bypass for the city of Aberdeen with the SDDOT.

Perry also looking to improve transportation especially north and west of the Aberdeen area.

Perry also address funding for SDPB for 2026.

Perry was asked about the Governor Rhoden’s relationship with the legislature for 2026.

The 2026 session will include Governor Rhoden’s State of the State Address that Tuesday.
