SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELOLAND) — There was a heavy police presence in a southwest Sioux Falls neighborhood Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a call of a reported shooting involving multiple victims at a home on South Drexel Drive just before 3 a.m.
Police sealed-off the area as they worked the scene.
Upon arrival, officers encountered three adult residents of Sioux Falls that were pronounced deceased on the scene as a result of apparent gunshot wounds.
Two additional victims were located with non-life-threatening injuries and transported to a local hospital for treatment. A suspect has been identified and is in custody.
There does not appear to be any further danger to the community and the investigation is ongoing.
