BMX races to begin May 24

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – There will be races this year at the BMX track.

While the season will be slightly delayed, races are scheduled to begin on Sunday, May 24.

Kyle Oswald, Track President, said that plans are in place to have races while still following recommended guidelines for social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Practice sessions will take place this week.

Additional plans include online registration, having races posted on cellular devices so there will not be a need to visit the Moto Board, and block racing which will mean not all of the competitors will be there at the same time.

Oswald said there will still be spectators, just a bit fewer of them and spaced out more.
