3rd Bull Elk Shot in less than two weeks; landowner seeking help offers reward

A yearling captive elk was found deceased Friday morning in the fenced in area. The young elk appeared to be shot from Thursday night November 21st with a pass-through wound in the abdomen area. This makes the 3rd captive elk shot in the last three weeks. The first bull was found deceased on Wednesday November 13th. With information provided from the public the 2nd Bull found dead was shot on Thursday evening November 14th between the hours of 6pm and Friday Morning at 6am.
The investigation continues as law enforcement seeks any information that may lead to these acts. These elk are not only someone’s property, but a staple of a family history.
Please contact Clark County Sheriff’s Office with any information. The family has updated the reward to $5,000 for any information leading to an arrest and conviction of individual(s) responsible for these acts.
