ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release) – The Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce’s Agribusiness Committee is holding its third Field to Fork: A Farm to Table Connection on Friday, September 9th. The event will run from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at SPURS Therapeutic Riding Center, 1006 130th St.
This unique, one-of-a-kind event for our area is designed to open conversations between farmers and consumers about food and farming and celebrate our state’s largest economic driver. It will give consumers the chance to share thoughts about food with producers while learning how farmers raise food and work to keep it safe.
The tentative menu includes eight food stations (grazing board, turkey, lamb, beef, pork, dairy, oats & dessert) and wines & beers grown/produced locally. Producers will be on hand at the stations to interact with diners and have casual conversation about modern farming practices and the resulting food and drink that end up on the table. There will also be music by Seth Anderson.
Ticket price is $50 and ticket sales will be limited to 120. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Chamber at 605-225-2860, emailing info@aberdeen-chamber.com or going online to aberdeen-chamber.com/events-programs/field-to-fork.
