3rd fire reported in Aberdeen in less than two weeks

ABERDEEN, S.D. (Hub City Radio)

Aberdeen Fire Rescue has responded to another structure fire that has been reported by eyewitnesses near an apartment complex on the 500 block of 11th Avenue SE in Aberdeen.

Update from their Facebook page:

“The fire was quickly located by firefighters and contained to one apartment unit. Two adults and several pets were rescued from the building. One adult was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation. There was major fire, smoke and water damage to the fire unit and significant smoke damage throughout the building. Fire crews were on scene for about 2 hours. The fire was determined to be accidental.”

Responding Agencies include Aberdeen Fire Rescue, Aberdeen, SD Police Department, Brown County SD Office of Emergency Management, Brown County Communications, Aberdeen Public Works, Red Cross, and Northwestern Energy.
