Senator Casey Crabtree’s map approved by Senate Redistricting Committee

PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota Senate Legislative Redistricting Committee came up with their own map and will forward that to a special session next month.

Meeting Monday, Senator Casey Crabtree of Madison made the case for his map proposal, called “Blackbird 2.0”.

Senator Jim Bolin of Canton was not happy with the map.

Committee Chair, Senator Mary Duvall of Pierre outlined the process for the map proposal.

The Senate voted 5-2 in favor of the Blackbird 2.0.
