The Carnival of Silver Skates is this weekend in Groton, Executive Board Chair Lyndsey Tietz (Teetz) said the Carnival started many years ago as a way for area residents to stay active and have fun in the cold winter months, but even recently changes and upgrades are being made..

There have been plenty of challenges this year, many of them weather related, but the show will go on, and Tietz said she knows South Dakotans are tough and they will come out to show their support.

Tietz said they have guest Trios coming to perform to add to the entertainment spectators can count on. Spectacular costumes and talented skaters, at the Carnival of Silver Skates in Groton
