National Fentanyl Awareness Day is today

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- Today is National Fentanyl Awareness Day.

Over the past decade, the Opioid Epidemic has evolved from pharmaceutical pills to pressed pills and powders that are cut and laced with Fentanyl.

A majority of American’s know someone who has been impacted or lost a loved one to the drug.

That includes former KELOLAND TV Anchor and current CEO of Emily’s Hope, Angela Kennecke, who lost her daughter Emily to a Fentanyl overdose in 2018.
