MITCHELL, S.D.(KMIT)- It was one year ago that the state set up its 988 Helpline for those who are having mental health issues.  Janet Kittams is the CEO of the Helpline.

She says the Helpline has received calls from people of all ages from all over the state.

Kittams says the hope is that the line helps people get over any stigma they may have about reaching out for assistance with mental health issues.

Again, the 988 Helpline is available 24 hours a day for anyone who is struggling with mental health issues.
