WASHINGTON, D.C. (WNAX) – Meetings have been held around the country with Homeland Security and state and local election officials, hoping to limit interference in the 2020 elections.
South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says Russians will again try to impact next year’s voting.
Rounds says while not interfering directly with balloting, the Russians spread misinformation through social media.
Rounds says changes helped limit the effects last year, but the Russians won’t give up.
Rounds says they get regular updates from Homeland Security and other government agencies about the ongoing interference.
