ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department and the Optimist Club have begun preparations for the 2023 Haunted Forest. This popular event requires over 100 volunteers. Recreation Superintendent, Gene Morsching, would like to invite people over the age of 15 to become a part of this Halloween tradition. Some of the areas where help is needed include: guides, who lead groups through the route; security, to direct traffic and assist guides with their groups; as well as people to help with the scare scenes.
The Haunted Forest is scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings, October 27 and 28, with a special matinee Saturday afternoon. If you would like to help in any way, for one performance or all three shows, please call the Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry Office at 626-7015.
