PIERRE, S.D.(KELO)- It has taken longer than anticipated, but money is about to flow in a $200-million development program approved by this year’s legislature.

State Housing authority Executive Director Chas Olson says the agency has committed to funding seven projects at a cost of $10-million.

And, he says the pace is picking up.

There were 74 applications totaling $100-million in the first round of the program offerings.

Olson says the benefits of the program will begin to be seen next year.

A $200-million dollar development program approved by this year’s legislature is beginning to bear fruit.
